Choosing a safe site to launch your fireworks is very important. By choosing a proper launch site, you ensure that everyone around you and your surroundings are safe
- Always light fireworks on a hard, flat, and level surface to insure stability. It’s not a bad idea to surround aerial items with bricks or put them in cinder blocks to ensure they can’t tip over. Repeaters can fall over and being firing into a group of people.
- Grass is not suitable for any item intended to be used in an upright position. When lighting fireworks on grass use a flat wooden board for a shooting surface and bracing the item with some type of block is recommended.
- Avoid lighting fireworks in areas with dry grass or brush that could catch fire or near any flammable items.
- Be cautious of lighting fireworks during strong wind conditions. Fireworks should be lit with the wind blowing away from the spectators.
